How to Make White Hot Chocolate - White hot chocolate is a delicious variant of the usual hot chocolate. While some people may argue that white chocolate isn't "real chocolate", for a lot of people, it's about the taste - and it's a taste that they really enjoy! This wonderful taste transfers well to a hot drink. Try it on a cold and wintry day to build some cheer. This will serve one. Double it for a shared treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk, warmed (dairy or other kind of preferred milk)
- 40g (scant of 1/4 cup) white chocolate - chips, chopped, or round discs (try to buy good quality white chocolate, as this will be less waxy and over-sugared––European or European inspired brands are often best, but Chipits work as well)
Method Making it on the Stovetop
1. Put the chocolate into a small saucepan over low to medium heat.
2. Heat the chocolate gently until it becomes warm and only just starts melting.Don't let it melt in the pan. Remove from the heat as it starts to melt.
3. Pour the warm chocolate into a mug or glass. Add warm milk.
4. Stir until the chocolate melts in. Serve immediately. Some ideas of what to serve the hot white chocolate with include:

- whipped cream
